April
Austin Green – Oil Paintings of the Causeway Coast
Exhibition Opening: 3 April | 6–8 pm
This March, our gallery is delighted to present a new exhibition of oil paintings by local artist Austin Green, whose work captures the dramatic beauty of the Causeway Coast.
Working in oil on canvas, Green’s paintings explore the powerful meeting of land, sea and sky along Northern Ireland’s north coast. A highlight of the exhibition is his striking interpretation of The Black Arch, the iconic rock formation along the Causeway Coastal Route. Through rich colour and expressive brushwork, Green evokes the shifting light, movement and atmosphere that define this remarkable stretch of coastline.
Alongside this work, the exhibition features a collection of seascapes that reflect the ever-changing moods of the Atlantic — from calm, reflective waters to the energy of waves breaking against the cliffs.
Visitors are warmly invited to join us for the opening evening on Thursday 3 April from 6–8 pm, held in the gallery within our Edwardian home in Whitehead, County Antrim. It will be an opportunity to meet the artist, view the paintings, and enjoy an informal evening celebrating art inspired by our local landscape.
All are welcome.
